The Phoenix E7 exoskeleton is an ultra-lightweight, smart lumbar exoskeleton designed to assist the hip joint. It can automatically recognize various walking and running gaits, learn your unique gait pattern, and adjust support in real-time for a more natural walking experience.
Equipped with joint motors and adaptive leg rods, the Phoenix E7 assists hip articulation and thigh lifting.
This reduces muscle exertion and makes every step easier, enhancing overall walking efficiency and reducing fatigue during long walks.
The Phoenix E7 uses a built-in angle sensor and an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). Its AI system predicts walking intentions and controls motor torque to provide either assistance or resistance based on the selected mode.
Equipped with a high-density lithium battery and a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), the E7 provides up to 20 km of additional assistance range. At the lowest gear, one full charge lasts approximately 7 hours under real-world conditions. Battery replacement is quick and easy.
- Follow-up Mode: Provides assistance proportional to your walking.
- Assistance Mode: Reduces muscle effort, increases walking efficiency; Boost Mode delivers peak power instantly.
- Training Mode: Simulates walking in water, strengthens hip muscles, protects knees during downhill walking, and helps control speed.
The Phoenix E7 is suitable for adults who can walk independently at speeds of 1 meter per second (≈3.6 km/h). It is ideal for users who want to reduce walking fatigue, improve endurance, and maintain comfort during daily activities or outdoor walking.
Weighing only 1.3 kg, the Phoenix E7 is one of the lightest smart exoskeletons on the market. Its wearable components use soft, skin-friendly materials, reducing pressure and friction, allowing long-term use without discomfort or excessive fatigue.
The device has two main parts: straps and the main unit, connected via buckles. After a short tutorial, anyone can don the Phoenix E7 independently in about 10 seconds, with no assistance needed.
Phoenix E7 has an IP54 rating, meaning it is dust-proof and splash-proof, suitable for outdoor use. Avoid heavy rain or submerging the device in water.
Phoenix E7 is a non-medical device with no therapeutic effect. Users with bone, muscle, or nervous system conditions should consult a doctor. It is intended for adults who can walk independently to reduce lower-limb muscle fatigue during prolonged walking.
The Phoenix E7 adjustable structure fits approximately 90% of adults. It comes in three sizes (S, M, L) for different waist circumferences. For questions about sizing, contact the official STARWAYFTR support team.
Assist mode reduces muscle strain and heart rate, while resistance mode minimizes joint impact. Phoenix E7 has passed rigorous safety testing to ensure reliable use in daily activities.
EXOSKELETON TROUBLESHOOTING
Here are our Exoskeleton Troubleshooting Questions. For more information click HERE
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly installed.
- Press the control button once and check if the status LED lights up to indicate battery level.
- Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to attempt powering on.
- If it still doesn’t turn on, record a video of the issue and contact STARWAYFTR technical support for assistance.
- Connect to the STARWAYFTR App, disable Hill-Start Assist and Low-Speed Stability Control to reduce unnecessary power consumption.
- Switch to Eco mode and walk at 4 km/h for 20 minutes; a ~5% drop is normal.
- Battery performance depends on usage scenarios (e.g., uphill, high temperatures). Refer to the battery maintenance section in the manual.
- If issues persist, contact technical support with a video demonstration.
- If stored long-term, reinstall the battery in the device before charging.
- Check if the charging port is clean and pins are intact.
- Use the included USB-C cable, ensure it is fully inserted.
- Try a different power outlet for cross-testing.
- If LED still doesn’t light, disconnect and reconnect the charger.
- If unresolved, record a video and contact STARWAYFTR technical support
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and exoskeleton status LED flashes blue.
- Delete all previous pairing records in the mobile settings.
- Restart your phone, uninstall/reinstall the Starway App, grant GPS & Bluetooth permissions.
- Pair via the external skeletal connection, not phone Bluetooth settings.
- Test with another phone if needed.
- If unresolved, record a video and contact technical support.
- Ensure firmware is updated via the STARWAYFTR App.
- Re-wear the exoskeleton correctly and try again.
- If issue persists, record a video and contact technical support.
- Mild heating is normal due to high-frequency motor operation.
- Extreme environments (>30°C, direct sunlight, desert) may worsen heating.
- If uncomfortable, use STARWAYFTR App → settings → Thermal Protection Control to maximize protection.
- Avoid continuous operation in extreme conditions for prolonged periods.
- Flashing orange indicates automatic wear detection failure.
- If it occurs immediately after startup, reattach the exoskeleton correctly following the user manual instructions.
- If it happens during use while strapped on, record a video and contact technical support.
- Flashing red indicates a device error.
- Connect to the STARWAYFTR App and tap the message icon to view the specific error code.
- If multiple LEDs flash alternately, refer to the user manual and send the error message to technical support.
- Connect to the STARWAYFTR App and ensure firmware is updated to the latest version.
- Use a 65W charger to charge for over 2 hours and check if it reaches full charge.
- If the problem persists, contact technical support with a video of the battery issue.
- Normal behavior: After 10 seconds idle, LED displays battery level.
- Press the button or move your leg to display current operating mode.
